Before Jacob was a shape shifter, Jacob grew his hair out and kept it long because of his heritage and that was just the norm. He also kept it tied back in a low ponytail to keep it out of his face. Now, as a shape shifter, Jacob keeps it cropped because it keeps his wolf fur nice and short. He gets it as short as he can without getting a buzz because Jake thinks it would just look weird like that. His wolf fur is slightly longer than the rest of the pack's fur; it also happens to be russet brown. His wolf fur is shaggier than the rest of the pack's wolf furs. Back to his human hair; it's black, like most of the people on the reservation, and has a "rebel" look to it. It's not the most "kept neat" kind of hair. Majority of the time, it's windswept or just messy in general.

» EYES:

Jacob's eyes have always been a little bit too small for his face in general but they don't look bad on him. He can pull it off pretty well. His eyes are a dark, dark brown that almost look black and DO look black from far away. His eyelashes are almost non-existent, they are so small. Sometimes Jake looks like he's squinting even when he's not. His eyes are spread apart evenly on his face and are soft to look at. They generally melt the heart of females (and maybe some gay guys) but everybody is different.

» HEIGHT/WEIGHT:

Before Jacob went wolf on the population, he was actually pretty average. He was of average height and weight even though he might have weighed more from the muscles he did have at the time. He was a little taller than average but he wasn't a monster when it came to height and weight. After going wolf, Jacob grew taller and taller and gained more and more muscle which gave him more height and a ton of a more weight. He just kept growing and he hasn't stopped yet and probably won't any time soon. He now stands at 6'11, almost seven feet, and weighs 255 pounds of pure muscle. His wolf height is monstrous, outdoing the rest of the pack, including the alpha male, Sam Uley. Jake is the rightful alpha which may be the reason he's bigger than the alpha male. Jake's wolf form stands at 13 feet tall and weighs 900 pounds of pure wolf muscle.

» STYLE:

Jacob used to dress for the weather. When it was cold outside, he used to wear sweatshirts and coats. He also wore long sleeved t-shirts and jeans majority of the time; he tended to wear shoes - his favorites being a plain old pair of sneakers. Jake did like track pants and basketball shorts in warm weather. In warm weather, he tended to wear sleeveless shirts or no shirt at all with a pair of shorts or something similar. He also wore sneakers in the warm weather but without socks. In cold weather, he wore socks to keep his feet warm. He was normal in what he wore as a normal human being. Now, being a shape shifter and having natural elements to his genes to keep him warm, he wears shorts, no shirt, and no shoes majority of the time even in bad weather. Sometimes, so he doesn't get weird looks, he'll wear a sweatshirt but he never wears just a pair of jeans; well he does, but it's super rare.

Because he's ripped so many pairs of shoes when he's lost his temper and went all "explode into a wolf", he tries not to wear shoes very often just because he knows he'll ruin them and he doesn't like to pack them around while he's running around as his wolf. Occasionally he will put a shirt on but that is also rare just because his fever issue keeps him plenty warm. When he's not running around as a human with no shirt, Jake runs around as a wolf so his wolf fur keeps him plenty warm. In his wolf form, Jake actually has a "style". He keeps a band that keeps his shorts and maybe a shirt tied to his right hind leg. The clothes are facing his other leg so that they don't get caught on anything.

» BODY TYPE:

Jacob, before his big change, was of medium/average frame. He wasn't huge and he wasn't small. He had a healthy weight and he was slightly more muscly than other people but not noticeably so. He's always had more muscle than people but before his change it wasn't so noticeable. Now though, Jacob has a huge frame compared to everybody on the reservation, even Sam. He has a ton of muscle because of his wolfy change and he looks like he could possibly be a body builder on steroids.

» DISTINGUISHING FEATURES:

Jacob doesn't have very many distinguishing features save for his tattoo and him in general. His size makes him stick out in a crowd just because of how huge he is. He stands taller than anybody on the reservation. The friends he hangs out with also distinguish him from the rest of the crowd and his size doesn't kill him too much when he's with his pack but next to Bella or somebody similar, he tends to stick out. Jacob's muscles make him stick out in a gym and he tends to be in the "elite" class when it comes to that even though he didn't really "train" to get his muscles. His wolf side did that for him. The fact that he runs around without a shirt is also distinguishing especially when it's gross and yucky outside. Everybody all by themselves are extremely distinguishable just by being them, save for identical twins and Jacob is no different.

Jacob's tattoo is not really distinguishing because all of the pack has it but it can be considered a distinguishable mark just because of the fact that it's a tattoo. His tattoo consists of two wolves facing each other with a shape in between the two of them which Jacob interprets as the two wolves protecting human life in general. He thinks that's what it means. The tattoo itself is a circle and takes up the majority of his shoulder "space". Jacob has multiple scars from his battle with the newborn vampire, saving Leah from getting hurt. Jake also has scars from wrestling around with the pack or fighting with Paul on occasions. He has one on his wrist from saving Bella when Paul got all pissy with her and exploded into his wolf form.

In his wolf form, Jacob still has his scars but they appear in different spots. His fur also sets him apart from the rest of the pack, even though it's close in color to Quil Ateara's fur, it's still unique just like the rest of the pack's fur. Jake has exceptionally sharp teeth compared to real wolves and his claws are sharp too. They need to be in order to take down a vampire. The sheer size is also a quick feature that sets him apart. Other than that, he's not too different.

» OVERALL PERSONALITY:

Jacob Ephraim Black is a pretty typical guy unless you count the fact that he's a shape shifter. He likes the outdoors and he's infatuated with automobiles. He likes to work on them and he does his best job; he's also very gifted with working with cars, fixing Bella's dirt bikes and fixing up the truck that his father gave to Charlie to give to Bella. He's also built a car from scratch for himself, otherwise known as the Rabbit. He likes to just mess around with his tools and stuff just to keep himself occupied when he's not running around as a wolf. When he's running around as a wolf, he enjoys killing/torturing/chasing vampires to the ground and is very persistent when it comes to killing them off. He hopes to someday kill the Cullens, namely Edward. He also hopes to keep Isabella Swan a human being. Jacob knows that Bella will never choose him but he tries hard anyway. He hasn't given up hope even though Bella has told him on countless occasions that she has already chosen her bloodsucker. Jacob would enjoy tearing Edward piece by piece without the pack's help. He fantasizes about it every day now.

Jacob Ephraim Black has found that he likes Leah. He always has but the realization has just rekindled for him. This rekindling has him quite confused even though it shouldn't. He figures he should just drop the whole idea of Bella and go after Leah but he figures that she's an impossible target because of her walls. He'd gladly break them down but he doesn't really want shit from the pack for doing so. Jake knows that it will surface eventually and it will bleed through at some point that he likes Leah but he is trying hard to keep that well-hidden from the pack. He kind of hates the fact that he is obsessed with Leah Clearwater too but he also finds that fact "healthy" for him. Bella has some healthy competition to compete with even though she's not really competing. Jacob doesn't understand why he doesn't take the obvious/better choice: Leah Clearwater. Jacob Black is extremely stubborn on the fact that he won't change his mind if he's already made it up by people telling him to. He has to learn everything the hard way, a trait he inherited from his mother, Sarah Black.

Jacob has quite the temper and it's lethal, literally, to people who make it jump. It can cause a person's death but he has a much better hold of it than Paul Richards. He keeps it tucked away but around Edward, his temper just sucks. He's a hard ass around the vampires and when the odds aren't stacked in his favor, he gets even more mad. Jacob is a smart cookie and uses that to fight vampires and help Sam come up with strategy. He also considers the ways he's going to torture Edward when Bells goes vampire on him. He doesn't know how he's going to kill Bella but he knows it's going to have to happen. He wants to kill Bree because he thinks she's going to eat Bella at some point or another from loss of control. In his opinion, all the newborns in that clearing, including Bree, should have died.

» HISTORY:

Jacob Ephraim Black was born to Billy and Sarah Black on January 14th, 1990 in La Push, Washington. He was a big kid for a newborn and his parents were so glad that they finally had a son. They had had twins before, Rachel and Rebecca Black, both female, and they were glad to have a son too to even out the ratio as best as they could. Jacob was basically raised on the Quileute Stories and loved hearing them. He was a smart toddler and loved to hang around his older sisters but mostly he liked to annoy them as best as he could. He loved hanging out with his dad though. Jacob was very close with Billy as a youngster which was natural. His first word was "dada" which was easier to say than "mommy". He liked to play wrestle with his father and he loved getting into things. He didn't have a huge fascination with electronics unless you counted cars. Jacob loved watching his mother work on cars which is where he gained his love for working on them. He would sit in her garage for hours upon hours with her, just watching her and listening to her talk about them even though he never understood as a child.

When Jacob was five years old, he got really, really sick from the weather. He caught pneumonia in both lungs so his mother strapped him up in his car seat and both parents were driving in the car to take him to the hospital. They made it to the hospital in the horrible weather and he got some medicine and all three of them were given permission to go home. They got in the car, Billy driving, and headed for home. What they didn't realize was that there was a drunk driver on the road who was totally wasted. The drunk driver side swiped them which made the car slide into a pole on the side of the road. Sarah Black died immediately on contact. Jacob was unhurt and Billy's legs were trapped in the car. By the time the ambulance/police got there, Billy had already lost use of his legs and Jacob Black was bawling his eyeballs out. All three of them were taken to the hospital. Jacob was ruled fine and Billy had lost the use of his two limbs. Sarah was taken to the morgue. When Billy and Jacob went home, the twins were grief stricken when they learned that Sarah was dead. Jacob didn't really understand but this was the year he met Bella Swan and started kindergarten.

His friends in kindergarten varied but his best friends were Quil Ateara and Embry Call. They were the three musketeers when they were young and still are to this day. Jacob didn't understand the Quileute Legends at that time but he loved to hear them. In kindergarten, Jake still wondered where his mother was and he didn't understand why his father couldn't walk still, even after a year of both of his parents changing. He wanted to know why Billy couldn't wrestle around with him and he understood that his sisters wouldn't because they were too intent on dress-up or something similar. Jake got bored easily so he was always over at the Atearas' Residence to hang out with Quil and wrestle with him. If he wasn't with Quil, he was with Embry and a lot of the time, the both of them. Jacob was loved by the kindergarten teachers and the majority of the male students. He chased girls when he was little and enjoyed making them mad but he was really outgoing and fun to be around. He was also athletic, even as a child, and preferred to run around than sit down and color a picture like he was supposed to. That was his one fatal flaw when it came to school, he hated sitting in his desk.

Jacob, through elementary school, was a pretty good kid other than his one fatal flaw. He still loathed sitting in his desk all day and generally got out of his seat when he wasn't supposed to. He was the class clown along with Quil and Embry. The three of them were literally inseparable. They had a great time hanging out together and in those years, Jacob got to know the Clearwaters pretty well because Billy was friends with them. Billy Black, Jacob's father, knew just about everybody because he was head of the council or something like that. Jacob didn't really care about the small details like that. In the sixth grade, Jacob had a puppy love crush on the oldest Clearwater child, Leah. Leah was two years older than him but the puppy love was still there. He enjoyed hanging out with her but he didn't see her too often because he was out with his "boys", Quil and Embry and recently, another boy on the reservation. The three future shape shifters didn't hang out with the other boy very often but they did sometimes. To this day, Jacob doesn't remember the boy's name.

Jacob finally hit the seventh grade but not without complications. He almost failed tests and had to be held back but only because he didn't pay attention in class. He got past that and did move up with his best friends to the big, scary, seventh grade. Jacob noticed that his puppy love crush was hanging around Sam Uley, so Jake, by default didn't like the guy. He was jealous when the two of them were official but he didn't make that known. It seemed hopeless to Jake but he still harboured those feelings. He dated other girls here and there but they were never steady or even slightly serious. They were, more or less, flings. He was more focused on having fun and this was the year he really got serious about tinkering with cars. He started tinkering with his dad's old truck that was left unused because his sisters were gone. At one point, Jacob went to Hawaii to attend his Rebecca Black's wedding. It was boring and he thought the suit he had was uncomfortable. When he got back, Sam was gone and he noticed Leah freaking out. He went out to search for him a couple times, in hopes to impress the girl that was two years older, but he never found the guy. Jacob saw that Sam had come back on his own and had his own suspicions about the guy, but mostly because of jealousy.

When Sam left Leah Clearwater broken hearted for her cousin, Jacob chomped at the bit and was there for Leah. He brought her away from her family and refused to let her crawl into a hole. He tried to keep her distracted and generally avoided Sam at all costs. He didn't want Leah to be so broken hearted but eventually, for unknown reasons, things got heated between the two of them. Jacob hated it and tried to fix it but it seemed to just create more heat. That caused them to break apart and Jake left even though he didn't want to. That was a huge mistake, which he knows now, but he left her. Jacob did take three looks back but he didn't go back to Leah even though he wanted to so bad. It just seemed if he tried to make it better, it would cause them to loathe each other. For years, Jacob thought about Leah on occasion but those feelings were buried deep down where Jake couldn't exactly find them. Soon, Isabella Swan moved back to Forks and Jake was ecstatic for a new friend but he eventually fell for her after her boyfriend, Edward left her and she came to him.

Jacob and Bella got super, super close because she was hanging around him all the time and Jake was falling for her. He was fixing her dirt bikes for her and he promised to teach her how to ride them. He also promised to take her cliff diving when the weather was better. At that time, there was a teenage "gang" in La Push, led by Sam. Jacob assumed that Sam just wanted to bring back his old reputation and Jake's temper flew when Bella asked about him. He'd recently lost Embry and Sam kept looking at Jacob Black weird and Jake assumed that Sam wanted JACOB to join his little gang and Jake was afraid it might happen. All the boys that had joined Sam had left for a few weeks and then they were suddenly owned by Sam. Jacob took Bella and Mike Newton to a movie and Jake laughed when the guy had to leave the "gory" movie to throw up. Jake took Bella and Mike home but Bella told him to be careful because Jake was feverish but he felt fine at the time. Jacob assumed he was getting sick and promised Bella he'd be careful but he was sure he was fine.

Jacob got home from the movie, parked the Rabbit and when he went inside he had a life changing moment. One that would tear him away from Bella in ways that would complicate his whole life just be the mere existence of the vampire that Bella so loved. Jacob walked in the door on the intent of going to sleep in hopes to sleep off the fever. Billy told him his hair looked weird and Jake exploded in his house. He was suddenly a gangly, young looking wolf trying to rip his father's throat out. The only thing that kept him from actually killing his father was the smile that appeared on Billy's face. That made him stop short and suddenly thoughts that weren't his own filled his head, welcoming him to the pack. He recognized Embry, Paul, Sam, and Jared. He didn't want them in his head but suddenly Sam was wrapping commands around him and Jacob Black got the full tutorial. He was also asked, by Sam, if he wanted to lead the pack because it was his birth right to do so. Jacob turned him down, not wanting that kind of responsibility or power. He became second-in-command even though he didn't even want that. He was repulsed by what he had become, a monster.

Jacob was forbidden to tell Bella and since he didn't want to hurt her so he avoided her. He didn't answer his phone and Billy kept up the fact that he had mono. Eventually, Bella was told that Jacob was fine and that he was hanging out with other friends. Jake was still upset that he was a shape shifter but he couldn't help the fact that he enjoyed the benefits. He learned that Bella's Edward was in fact, a vampire that could easily suck the life out of Bella. On that note, Jacob kept an eye out for him and was generally guarding Bella's house without her knowing about it. There was a vampire on the loose and the pack couldn't figure out what that vampire wanted but they kept trying to catch and kill it. The pack found a vampire talking to Bella and at first, Jacob was ready to kill it but Sam made him wait to see if it was going to attack her. When they were sure it was, Jake walked by Bella and took off after the vampire for her. He saw that she was scared but even then, he couldn't reveal what or who he was to her. He had to keep the secret.

Finally Bella came to La Push uninvited just when Jacob was getting home from hanging out with the pack, looking for Victoria. She yelled and screamed at him for following Sam. He flatly told her it wasn't Sam's fault and never would be and told her to leave for her own safety. He told her that he was a monster and that he was bad. It pained him to see her cry and be so hurt again, knowing that it could literally rip her to pieces emotionally after her vampire left her but Jake didn't want to be in the position to hurt her and he couldn't tell her. Sam had forbidden it. She left but later that night, he came to her window and tried to help her remember the stories he had told her so long ago. He wanted her to guess what he was so that they could be friends again, and hopefully something more... He got frustrated after a while and begged her to remember and left. The next day she came to La Push and knew what he was.... A shape shifter otherwise known as a werewolf. Jacob saved her from Paul who lost his temper and tried to eat her. Things fell into place and just when Jake thought Bella was going to be his forever, she went cliff diving by herself, and Jake was the one who saved her from the water. Harry Clearwater had suffered from a heart attack and had died so when Jake took Bella home and answered the phone, he told the guy on the other end that Charlie Swan was at the funeral. Before he knew it, Bella was rushing off to Italy to save her vampire.

When Bella got home, Jake was heartbroken by the fact that Edward was back and Bella had gone to him so easily. In an attempt to get rid of Edward, Jacob left Bella's motorcycle on her driveway. Bella got grounded and Jake took the motorcycle home, pretending that he was going to sell it but he kept in his shed out back for Bella when she decided to come back. He didn't talk to Bella for months because of her vampire and she was mad at him. When she called, Jacob refused to answer for the sole reason that he didn't want his scars to be cut open again by her voice. His thoughts were surrounded around her but he didn't want to speak to or see her until the vampire was gone. Eventually, vampires were coming and it was worrying the whole pack. The pack ran into the Cullens and the biggest vampire in the coven ran into Paul and they lost the red head they were after.

The pack and the Cullens had to make a temporary truce and Jacob got to sniff out Bella's room when a vampire entered it. He wasn't happy about the fact that it was in her room. He took a sniff and cut his hand helping Bella with her dishes on a knife. She freaked out but Jake just laughed at her and she saw that it healed super fast. He left afterwards so Edward could go to her even though he didn't want to. When she came down to La Push, Jacob took her to a fire side and told her the Quileute Legends. He took her home to Edward and then the next time she came down, Jacob kissed her. She punched him in the face and broke her hand. Jacob drove her clear down to her house and waited for Edward. He was unworried about Edward killing him because Charlie was out there. Jacob took full advantage of the fact that Charlie Swan liked Jake better than Edward. He knew Bella was mad but he had enjoyed himself immensely anyway.

Finally, Edward figured out what was going on with vampires in Bella's room and stuff. There was a newborn army and the pack was not going to miss out on the war. They made plans, ones that involved Jacob carrying Bella to her tent and Edward meeting up with her later. Jacob would be in the full throttle of the battle. Jacob did spend the night at the tent and eventually got to climb in a sleeping bag to keep the freezing Isabella Swan warm. That morning Jake heard that Bella was engaged to Edward because Edward purposely said it so that Jake could hear. It made him angry, extremely angry and he tried to take off. Edward forced him to go back and he almost ate Edward in the process of being chased down. He went back to Bella and they kissed. After that, Jacob Black went to fight the newborn vampire army. He did fine until the end of the fight and Leah went after a newborn but Jake felt the need to protect her and got in the middle of it. The newborn got his arms around Jacob and he broke most of the bones in Jake's body. Jake was drug home by the pack and Carlisle had to rebreak the bones in Jacob's bones. Jacob hated the pain that came with it but he mostly hated the fact that he was so vulnerable.

Now, he's healed just fine and has considered just leaving La Push behind. He's close to leaving because of the fact that Bella is engaged to Edward but he wants to stay so he can kill Edward after she goes vampire. There's one other thing holding him to La Push, Leah Clearwater, though he refuses to admit it.

Jacob Ephraim Black didn't think this felt right. Was he here because Bells wasn't here and he knew it was a losing battle subconciously? It was quite possible and he didn't want to use Leah like that if that was the case. He couldn't really decide if that was what he was for but he knew he couldn't really just step out now. He'd already made it clear that being friends was okay and Leah needed a friend anyway. It would be okay to be just friends with Leah, right? He did like her but he didn't want her to be anything more if he was still starstruck on Bells. Being here was okay so he let the bad thoughts drift from his mind in case Leah noticed he was thinking about something bad. She was usually pretty good at noticing that. He looked at her and smiled. It felt good to be here, hanging out with Leah. He didn't care what the pack thought or anything like that. He just wanted to be happy with himself and Leah was fun to be around... Today anyways. How was he to know that she was going to be nice tomorrow? "That's probably why we're all huge then. Just to be able to tease you about being itsy bitsy. Wait...." Jake suddenly had thoughts of the itsy bitsy spider. "Do you happen to have eight legs you're hiding from me? Do you happen to be the itsy bitsy spider?" He grinned teasingly and watched her reaction. Most girls didn't take kindly to being called a spider but he wasn't being serious. Bells would take it very offensively. He doubted Leah would take it too offensively. She was smarter than that and he would almost bet that she understood that he just sort of said things that were in his head without thinking if they were okay to say out loud.

Jake couldn't really tell what he actually wanted from Leah other than a good friendship at the very least. That was bare minimum for him though. He would like a lot more than that but he wasn't sure if he was ready for that or anything. He wasn't sure if he'd feel guilty for moving on to Leah that quickly after he decided for sure that he'd lost Bella. Ugh. He stepped away from those thoughts again and then thought about how life had been before Leah had pushed him away. It had been as easy as breathing. Jokes were not taken offensive and they teased each other constantly. Playing with mud and getting other kids to eat them and laughing at their faces. Freaking out their parents when they got too close to the edge of the cliffs. That had been fun, freaking them out when they got too close to the edge. Now his father didn't care if he jumped off and got hurt. He'd just laugh and say 'get over it'. Life had done a complete flip flop. Jake laughed and replied, "Someone has to give you a run for your money." He wasn't referring to that, trying to be mean, he was just teasing her... Yet again. His arms were opened up in a challenging way for Leah to hit him and she did. She hit him damn hard too. Jacob felt all the air disappear from his lungs and he struggled to keep his face straight so that she wouldn't notice just how hard she'd got him. His face turned bright red because he had no air and he struggled to keep his feet straight and holding him up. He let out some words but struggled to even say those, "H...Holy crap! You've got a real punch...." He couldn't say anything more.

Jacob was clearly surprised that she was actually going to the movies with him but he was attempting not to show it. He had every right to be surprised but that didn't mean he wasn't prideful and wanted to act like he knew that she would say she was coming with him. That was Jacob: prideful and all-knowing according to himself. He grinned Leah's way and he whole heartedly agreed with her. Sitting around the house was extremely boring compared to going to a movie. "Very true. Sitting around YOUR house is extremely boring." Jacob grinned teasing her. He was pointing out that Leah's house was boring but he was putting on the impression tha this house wasn't boring at all. That surely wasn't the case but he could give that impression if he damn well wanted to. Jacob was surprised he'd come up with the idea of Agent 99 because he didn't know many girl spies and the only reason he knew of Agent 99 was from watching Get Smart with Rachel. He really did want to go down to Seattle and figure out what the hell was going on down there and get rid of the issue. He didn't particularly like that there were so many deaths on practically his own home turf and he didn't like that Sam wasn't sending them down there right now. He hadn't sent one pack member down there. Of course, Jake had not expressed this out loud or in his head to Sam because that would be challenging the alpha. He didn't like the way Sam was handling Seattle though. "You're right, she is badass. We're both badass spies." He grinned lightly and replied, "Thanks." He smiled and then looked at her, subtly checking if she still had that book in her hand. She did indeed. A mischevious glint showed up in his eyes but he looked back at her face, hpoefully before she noticed that he was planning something evil. He was considering stealing it yet again just because it would annoy her.

Jacob grinned and watched her closely and then she answered. Crap. She'd got him there. "You caught me there." He laughed and then looked at her lawn. It was pretty. His lawn was crappy but that was because it was a bachelor pad. Neither Billy nor Jacob cared if they watered the lawn. The rain did a pretty good job of watering it but when Sarah Black had lived there, it had been beautiful according to Billy. Jacob tended to not cover the subject of his mother with Billy. He had no reason to go back to the past over and over again. Jake had moved on and Billy had to even if he wasn't quite the same and went quiet whenever he heard the name Sarah. They had moved on even if Rachel and Rebecca hadn't. "Hmmm. I guess I can trust you." He said rather dramatically imitating her rather dramatic scene before answering him. Jacob watched her face turn a shade pinker than it had and Jake's turned a shade redder than his had been before. He smiled, "We both are." He was shaking it off for her sake. He didn't shake stuff off for Bells though. That meant Leah really was on his good side. Jacob wanted to growl at her question. They were both being creative trying to avoid answering the question the both of them were asking. He blew it off nonchalantly. "Why don't you figure it out?" He was going to not say what he wanted to for as long as he could manage.
