Burgers- especially cheeseburgers, they’re awesome.
Her brother and father- despite her trying to avoid where they live like the plague she cares about them deeply.
Her sister- the two used to be a lot closer as kids, but they’ve gone off on their own now. Still, she loves her.
Peanut butter- she’s seriously addicted to this. She’ll eat it just from a spoon. It’s sort of her crack.
Crafts- she loves to do things of the sort in her spare time. Especially clay sculptures, she was in a club in college.
Studying- call her a dork but she likes to educate herself.

La Push- it reminds her of her mother’s death.
Butterflies- they’re pretty but they freak her out.

Cars- they just remind her of how her mother died. Sure she drives them, but she’s very easily panicked when driving.

» OVERALL PERSONALITY: Rachel tends to be the peace maker in the family. She has good amount of patience for things and this certainly comes in handy when other people lose their temper. Rachel doesn’t see things in just black in white and does her best to see both sides of the story. She also tries not to be judgmental towards people she’s never met. She does her best to be respectful towards people and at least civil to those she doesn’t get along with. Rachel has a hard time confronting someone who’s done something wrong to her and avoids confrontations as best she can.

She’s also a rather sensitive person and can easily be hurt by someone saying something negative or rude about her. However she does her best not to let on how this may affect her. A pushover might be a good word to describe Rachel, she tends to forgive people too easily when they’ve done something wrong to her. Rachel sees herself as a rather intelligent person however she doesn’t flaunt this about, if you were to hang out with her without really knowing her you wouldn’t think of her as the type to study hard and well be a dork. People tend to find her easy talk to and she is, she has no problems listening to people or having them come to her for advice. In fact she’s thought more than once about becoming a social worker.

» HISTORY: Rachel and her twin sister were born on June 30th 1986 in La Push, Washington, a small reservation in Clallam County. Life growing up was pretty good, Rachel especially loved to spend time with her mother Sarah. She was really into crafts, and it rubbed off on Rachel. The two would go to the Quileute Days every summer and look at all the craft displays, she also learned quite a few things from her mom. When Rachel and her sister Rebecca were only 3 and a half they welcomed their younger brother, Jacob with open arms. Rachel loved to take care of him and be ‘mommy’s helper’. Except when it came to changing his diapers, that was left up to her mom.

Rachel is pretty much the nerd of the family, she always did well in school and actually enjoyed going. When Rachel was 10 something very tragic happened to her, she lost her mother. There wasn’t very many details other than that she had died in a severe car crash. She knew it hadn’t been her mother’s fault, she had always been a very cautious driver. Apparently the injuries were so severe her mother’s body was mangled and her coffin had been nailed shut at the funeral. She tries to block out the memories from that time in her life as best she can so everything is pretty foggy.

Life after that was difficult for Rachel, she feared that she’d lose another member of her family. She never came to full terms with what had happened to her mother. Life seemed to get worse for her and her family for a while after that. Her father, Billy was diagnosed with diabetes and soon after that lost the function to use his legs and was confined to a wheelchair. To escape the less than pleasant aspects of her life she studied even harder. Rachel really wanted to go to college, it had been her goal since she was young.

One day, in her last year of high school she got a letter saying she had not only gotten accepted to Washington State but also a full scholarship. Finally, something good to happen in her life. To be honest she couldn’t wait to get away from La Push. Not that she had anything against her family, in fact she loves her family but that place just reminded her of her mother’s death too much.

After graduating high school, Rachel wasted no time in going off to college even though she could see how upset her father and younger brother were to see her go she knew they’d understand and was proud of her accomplishments. Rachel rarely went to visit her brother and father back home as she just couldn’t handle being there, and for that she does feel guilty. She hasn’t seen her sister in a very long time either because she now resides in Hawaii with her husband. Rachel feels her sister is too young to be married, however the guy seems nice enough and she’s happy for her. The two talk on the computer all the time to keep in contact. Recently Rachel has returned home because she’s graduated college earlier than expected. She plans on staying long enough to find a place to live, away from La Push and hopes it doesn’t take long, though she gets the feeling her father and brother, especially her father is hoping for her to stay much longer.
