Ella drove her car down the streets of Forks. It had been a really long school day and Ella felt tired. But still she needed to go to Port Angeles. She needed some things for school and her mother had given her a list with things, they needed at home. As soon as she was out of the small town, she drove faster. She wanted to get there as fast as possible and then get back home. After all, she never got into a situation, that was interesting or exciting. Not that she wanted to get herself in danger, but still sometimes, Ella wished there could be a few more kicks in her life. To her most of the time her life in Forks seemed just boring. Sure, there were the nearly daily family arguments, but that didn't count, Ella thought. These arguments had become just annoying to her. Also her parents had become really strict with their rules. That meant, she had to get home as fast as possible, Party's with her friends, were only rarely allowed anymore and she had to keep learning all the time. Ella really loved her parents but sometimes, they were just annoying. Also it wasn't her fault, that her sister did a lot of stupid things, with only twelve years. Sighing, she stepped on the brake and the car slowed down.
Finally she had reached the town of Port Angeles. It was the next bigger town to Forks. Earlier times, she had spent much time here in Port Angeles with her friends. But when her parents suddenly had become stricter, it had been over with going out each weekend. Sure she still saw her friends in school and they often met on weekend. But most of the time, they were just sitting around home. That had annoyed Ella and it annoyed her friends, who now often tried to push her, to do things her parents didn't allow. Often Ella gave in to them, but whenever her parents found out a harder punishment followed. Now Ella reached a few parking lots. It took a while until she found a free space. But then she fast drove her car into the space. It seemed like, many people had the same idea this afternoon, she thought. In the next moment Ella turned off the engine. Then she checked her look in a small mirror inside the car. After pulling back a few strands of her long, dark brown hair, where they belonged, she was satisfied with her look. When she got out of the car, she grabbed her purse and her jacket and locked the car. Walking down the streets of Port Angeles. While she was walking down the streets, she thought about all the things her mother had asked her to do and that she was told to come back as soon as possible.
Suddenly, Ella felt anger rise inside of her, her parents always treated her like a child, but she was almost adult now, maybe they could tell her sister what she had to do, but not her. For a moment Ella was surprised by that emotions and surprised that she had that side inside of her. She was normally no one causing trouble, but today, she really felt like it. So she thought, that she could take some time and do some more funny things. That was when she discovered a Night Club. "Perfect!" she thought to herself, with a small smile appearing on her face. Her parents would freak out, if they ever found out, but right now that didn't mattered to Ella. So she walked across the street and over to the club. One moment, she hesitated, but then stepped in. Inside there was playing loud music and some people were dancing, others were sitting on small tables or at the bar. That was when she saw a free seat at the bar and walked over and sat down. Ella ordered a drink and to her surprise, the barkeeper gave her the drink. Seemed like today, was her lucky day, maybe she looked to him like twenty-one, but if she was honest, it didn't mattered to her, she just wanted her fun and now she was going to have it. So Ella took a sip of her drink, looking around the club, that was when the chair next to her was moved, surprised she turned around to look who was going to sit beside her.

it's in your eyes, a c o l o r fade out- - - - - - LOOKS LIKE A N E W TRANSITION, THE STARTING UP AND SHAKING YOUR GROUND. TURNING YOUR HEAD TO SEE A NEW DAY CALLING - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - It had been a tough week, and Leah wanted nothing more than to relax. With someone who had no actual job and wasn’t in school, one wouldn’t expect that person to have a rough week, but patrol had worn the twenty year old out enough to make it feel like a tough week would to a normal person. Leah was normal, minus the fact that she sometimes phased into a giant silver wolf and ran around the forests of Washington hunting and killing vampires and she liked to remind herself of this fact. There was also the whole thing about her body reaching temperatures that should have killed her, but that was beside the point. The point was that she still felt emotions and still wanted things like any other twenty year old, but she had also been through a lot more than most twenty year olds. First, her boyfriend had left her for her cousin, then she pushed everyone away and left herself with nobody, then her father had a heart attack thanks to her stupid wolf gene making her phase and had died. Two extremely traumatic events in the span of a few months, but that was kind of old news now. They had, however, given her life a bit of a shake up and a change from the normal, boring routine that her life had become.
After the shock of those two things, and the fact that she could phased into a wolf, had passed, Leah had found her life to be sinking back into a boring point. Hunting and killing vampires and phasing into a wolf had added new things to her life, but it didn’t make things any less boring. Personally, Leah blamed Washington and how it rained there more often than not. If it wasn’t raining then it always looked like it was going to rain, and the sun made rare appearances. It was very hard to be happy, cheerful and energetic in a place like that, or so she had come to find. Some people didn’t seem to have an issue with it, but Leah certainly did. Today was one of those rare days when the sun overpowered the dark clouds that usually populated the sky, and had graced us with its presence. Leah had woken up to the warm rays shining into her room through her open blinds and immediately shielded her eyes from the unexpected glow. It figured, the one night that she didn’t shut her blinds before going to bed, the sun decided to show. Once her eyes had basically adjusted, at least enough so she wasn’t blinded, she stumbled out of bed and headed down to the kitchen to see her mother before heading out for a run. It had been part of Leah’s morning ritual even before she could remember and was something her father had done with her sometimes before he died. She had continued to do it simply because it helped calm her and keep her in good shape. It also helped her be the fastest runner in the pack, which was something she took great pride in.
After spending the day in Port Angeles running errands for her mother, Leah decided that for once she didn’t feel like going home. There wasn’t a whole lot to do, but she figured that she would find something interesting to keep her entertained until she decided she felt like going back to La Push. She could remember seeing a random night club on one of the street corners, and decided that she would check that out. She wasn’t big on the clubbing scene, but it was something to do for a while at least. Once she got home she would have to go and patrol so really, it wasn’t a good idea not to go home and get a few hours of sleep, but she didn’t care. It was nice to be off the reservation for a bit and she didn’t want to go back until she absolutely had too. So, she got back into the car and headed back towards the club. After parking and locking the car, she grabbed her purse and walked up to the bouncer. Once he’d waved her through, she shoved her ID back into her bag and headed to the bar. Leah wasn’t planning on drinking; she was just there more for a change of atmosphere and scenery, but she lowered herself into a chair beside a random girl and ordered a light drink from the bartender, tapping her fingers on the counter while she waited for it and giving the girl beside her a polite smile since she’d turned around.

Ella listened to the music in the background. Slowly moving one of her feet to the beat. She took her drink and sipped on it, then put it down in front of her again. Her glance went around the small club again. Still there were not many people sitting in here. On the other hand it was understandable, cause no normal person would be sitting around a club on a normal weeks afternoon. For a moment Ella thought, it had been crazy to come here and thought about leaving again as soon as possible. On the other hand, she wanted some fun, she wanted to show her parents, that she was almost grown up and that she could do whatever she wanted to. Sighing, she shook her head about herself. It was strange how much her life had changed in the last years. Her parents had become much stricter about nearly everything. Also they expected her to be a good example to her sister. So they had forbidden her almost everything that had been fun to her. Now when her friends went on Party's at the weekend, she had to stay home and learn for school, what was really annoying. Also it made her relationships with her friends not easier. So there was no way of turning back now, she would stay here, no matter what happened. She knew she would get into trouble once she got home, but that did not matter to her at the moment. Maybe it was good if, she started to become more aggressive again, when it came to her free time.
In the past Ella had been a lot more fun. She had went out with her friends a lot and had done a lot of stupid things. Also her parents had trusted her a lot more, then they did now. Now they tried to control every step of her, what often made her have arguments with her parents. Ella often wondered, if there was even one day in the week, without an argument. To her at least it seemed like they all were arguing seven days a week. At first Ella hadn't liked her parents new rules, but after many punishments and arguments, she had finally given up. She was normally not the type of person, that got herself into trouble, she was rather quiet and friendly and tried to avoid trouble, that was probably one reason why she had given up so soon. But at the moment it slowly all became too much for her, she wanted to escape her life for some time and have some fun again. That was easier said than done, she knew to good. Ella thought, it might have been easier if some of her friends would help her, but the only thing they did was complain about the fact, that she never could do anything with them. She was torn out of her thoughts, when the chair next to her was moved. Ella looked surprised at the person that sat down next to her. It was a young woman, who was a bit older then her, she guessed.
Seemed like someone else had decided it was time to escape the normal life for some time, she noticed amused. The young woman beside her was really good looking, she had to admit. She wore a gray long shirt, a pair of blue jeans combined with a few accessories. Also the young woman had long brown hair, which was falling over her shoulders and ice blue eyes. Next to this girl, Ella felt really unimpressive, she wondered what a girl like her, was doing here on an afternoon. On the other hand it was stupid to thin that, people like this woman had no problems. Ella watched the other woman order a drink and watched her tapping her fingers on the counter. When the young woman turned into her direction, she gave Ella a polite smile, which Ella returned immediately. For a moment she sat there in silence and felt a bit cowed, but then she gathered all her courage. Smiling she turned towards the young woman and said "You don't seem like the normal person, I would have expected to find here on a day like this." then she added "So what brings you here?" "Trouble with your family?" "Trouble in your job?" she asked curiously. Then turned quiet again, noticing how curiously, she had sounded. So she apologized "Sorry for being over curious, but I am really not good in talking to people I don't know." and laughed lightly. Then Ella held out her hand towards the girl and said "I'm Ella." and waited for the other girl to say something. While she waited Ella took another sip from her drink.

it's in your eyes, a c o l o r fade out- - - - - - LOOKS LIKE A N E W TRANSITION, THE STARTING UP AND SHAKING YOUR GROUND. TURNING YOUR HEAD TO SEE A NEW DAY CALLING - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - After walking in the door, Leah was already regretting her decision to go into the club. This was not her kind of thing at all, especially after her break up with Sam. She really wasn’t a people person anymore and preferred to keep to herself. She didn’t like to talk to people first because she always feared that her misery and bitchy attitude would surface. It was fine for the pack and others she’d known her whole life because they expected that kind of behaviour from her all the time, but random people like those in the club didn’t. She supposed it didn’t help her get a very good image if she just sat quietly on her own and didn’t make an effort to talk to anyone, but she didn’t care. She was only inside that club to prolong going home a bit longer despite the fact that she had patrol that night and probably should have gone to take a nap. It wasn’t like it mattered anyway though, since she would be in a sour mood the entire time anyway. Patrol did that to her, especially when there were no vampires to hunt and kill. It was a disturbing thought, but that was the only good thing about having a stupid wolf gene inside her that forced her into the life she had now. Plus, it was a good way to take out her anger and frustrations with other aspects of her life and gave her some level of satisfaction.
In the past, Leah was a lot more fun. She went out with her friends and didn’t prefer to isolate herself and stay in her house. She was out so often that her parents sometimes had to ask her to stay home for a night so that they could actually see her. Now, her mother was saying the complete opposite and trying to get her to have a social life again. That, however, was easier said than done considering Leah had pushed away all of the friends she had in her life. She hadn’t done it on purpose, but not many people enjoyed being around her when she turned into a cold, miserable person that didn’t want to go out and do anything. The phone calls and invitations to go out still came, but after so many times of her turning down the offers they had stopped. That was just how it worked with most people; if a friend kept saying no, after a while it was common to just give up completely. She hadn’t meant to let it get that bad, but she had been having such a hard time coping with her break up and then her father’s death that just hanging out by herself seemed like the easiest thing to do. When she finally started getting over both, it was too late to mend anything so she just didn’t bother. Of course, she was only assuming that it was too late but she hadn’t seen differently so she was going to continue thinking that.
As the bartender passed her drink to her, Leah heard a voice beside her and turned to see that the girl who had been sitting beside her was now talking to her. The girl looked like she was a few years younger, but that didn’t matter. Leah had to say that she admired the girl’s courage to talk to a complete stranger, and was brought back to the days when Leah herself was able to do that. She still had that skill, but she hadn’t used in a while so she just stayed quiet most of the time. But this girl seemed nice enough, so she figured it couldn’t hurt to toss the habit and have a conversation. After all, this was someone who had never met her and had no idea how much of a bitch she could be. Since this girl hadn’t done anything to bring out Leah’s bitchy side, she decided it was worth trying to get to know the girl. “That’s because I’m not, really,”
[/color] she said, giving the girl a small smile and a shrug. “I guess you could say a bit of both, but I was just running errands for my mother and decided to put off going home for a bit. I don’t get out much,” she responded, taking a sip of her drink. She smiled at the girl’s next sentence, and was surprised to find that the two of them seemed to have something in common. “No worries, neither am I,” she said, laughing a bit too. “I’m Leah, nice to meet you,” she said. “So what brings you here? You don’t seem like the type either.” Maybe this conversation thing wasn’t going to be so hard after all. Ella still didn't knew if it had been the right decision to come here. She felt still out of place and she was kind of unsure what would happen when she got home. Her mother would probably start yelling at her, her sister would act envious and her dad would probably tell her she was grounded. Was this really worth all this trouble, she asked herself. A moment later she had the answer to it. Yes it all was really worth it, she hated to always have to stick to the rules. After all it was not her fault, that her parents had caught her sister, who had been really stupid to that time, on a Party when she was only twelve years old. Sure they had immediately thought it was her fault, because they had allowed Ella to go to Party's on the weekends from which she had always come home really late. Ella knew her parents wanted her to be a good example to her little sister, but who could have known her sister, was that stupid, she thought to herself angrily. Sighing she took another sip of her drink, this whole situation was really complicated, she thought. But well, now that she was here, she would try to have as much fun as possible, cause as soon as she would get home, the fun was going to be over. But not only her parents, where complicated, she thought. Her friends, made it not easy for her as well. They always only complained that she never did anything with them. So some of them, didn't even talk to her anymore. Others tried to convince her always to sneak out of the house and that it was all worth the later fight. It all was not really helpful in Ella's opinion. She would have been really thankful if her friends, would have tried to talk to her parents, trying to convince them to let her go out on weekends again, but not one of them had tried until now. In the past Ella had been kind of popular, since she was a nice person and normally was fun for everything. There had been a lot of people, who had been her friends. But once, her parents had changed so much, Ella had changed as well. Sure she still was a nice person, but now she stayed at home at the weekends, learned a lot more for school and had become quieter. So that many people called her boring now. But that was not what she wanted to be, often Ella wished she could turn back the time and change everything. Sadly that was impossible, she knew. It was actually really simple, what she wanted. She wanted to be more fun again and live in the here and now again, not in the past. Ella would have done everything to get a kick into her life. She was sure she would not be sitting here in some kind of bar, if her life would be different. On the other hand, this way, she had at least some small kick in her life. Also maybe she would not even get into trouble, because after all her mother had sent her here, to do some shopping. For sure her mother had asked her to be home before it turned dark outside, but Ella had still a lot of time left until that happened. Taking another sip of her drink, she turned her attention back to the woman beside her. Ella thought, the woman really looked like a model and again she couldn't help but wonder what she was doing here. Sure it was stupid to think, that people like her had no problems, but still these people with all their beauty seemed always so untouchable. As if normal problems could never reach them. She was torn out of her thoughts, when the young woman started to speak with her. “That’s because I’m not, really,” the woman answered with a small smile on her face. A moment later she added “I guess you could say a bit of both, but I was just running errands for my mother and decided to put off going home for a bit. I don’t get out much,” Ella smiled and nodded understandingly. She was surprised that this beautiful young woman had something in common with her. On the other hand it made her more sympathetic to Ella. “No worries, neither am I,” the woman said laughing lightly. “I’m Leah, nice to meet you,” the young woman introduced herself a moment later. Then Leah asked her “So what brings you here? You don’t seem like the type either.” Ella laughed lightly and said "Nice to meet you Leah." and added "Well, I'm normally not that type either." A moment later she answered "I was running some errands for my mother as well and I was doing some other shopping." A moment later Ella explained to Leah "I don't get out a lot, because my parents are really strict, they allow me nearly nothing." "I can't even remember the last time, I was out on weekend and I think when I saw this club I thought, I had enough of sticking to their rules." laughing lightly now. She added a moment later "So I decided it was time to have some fun, before I go home again." "I know not the best place for it probably, but still much better then anything I am used to..." she said sighing lightly. Then waited what Leah was going to say about it.

it's in your eyes, a c o l o r fade out- - - - - - LOOKS LIKE A N E W TRANSITION, THE STARTING UP AND SHAKING YOUR GROUND. TURNING YOUR HEAD TO SEE A NEW DAY CALLING - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The more time passed, the more Leah felt like maybe she should leave. Patrol was hard enough late at night and without at least a little sleep before going she would be more difficult than usual. She really didn’t mean to be that way, but having such an altered sleep pattern lately made her irritable, just like it would do to anyone – except Jacob, apparently. Most of the pack were good at hiding their irritability and exhaustion, and Leah was one of them most of the time. But, since she had been running around for her mother all day, she would probably have difficulty doing that tonight. Still, she didn’t want to go home yet since she barely got to leave the reservation and have time to herself but she would have to go back eventually, even if it was just to patrol. After that, she was looking forward to going home and going to bed assuming Seth wasn’t completely energized and decided to play one of his video games once his own patrol was over. She really didn’t understand her little brother’s obsession with video games, but as long as it kept him busy then she didn’t care. It helped him come to terms with their father’s death so, as annoying as the games were to listen to, Leah wouldn’t complain…much.
The club had gotten more crowded and the music was much louder now because of it. Leah absent-mindedly tapped her foot along with the beat, but refused to get up and actually dance. She loved dancing, but she didn’t feel like pushing through the crowds on the floor and didn’t want to deal with any random drunk guys coming up and trying to dance with her or buy her a drink. That was why she was sticking to the stool by the bar, where it was slightly quieter and not many people could bother her. In the past, Leah had been a pretty popular girl thanks to her looks and her fun personality, but she had lost all of that a few years back and was desperately trying to bring that back. She didn’t care so much about being popular anymore, but she did miss having friends and going out. Nights at home were great when she just felt like relaxing, but she missed having a life. If she was going to be stuck in La Push for a while, she figured it was time to try and get back some kind of a social life so that she wasn’t sitting around like a hermit alone in her house. It was pretty sad when her mother went out more than she did, after all.
This Ella girl seemed interesting enough, and the two of them seemed to have a lot in common. Common interests and such were always a key factor in a friendship, and Leah could see this random encounter possibly turning into one over time. That knowledge gave her hope that it wasn’t too late for her to go back to being the fun, cheerful and outgoing person that she was before. Once she did that and started letting people in again, she would get her life back and wouldn’t feel like all she had going for her was patrolling with the pack. That made her general outlook on life a little brighter. “Nice to meet you, too,” she responded with a small smile. “Yeah, I get that. It’s only my mom now and she’s not very strict but I don’t get out much either,” she responded, feeling like she needed to explain herself a bit as well. “I came in here more to avoid going home a little longer. I’ll have to eventually though, since I have to work tonight.” It was true, and it was the easiest way to let the girl know that she had a responsibility to go and attend to without actually giving away anything about occasionally morphing into a giant wolf and running around Washington hunting vampires. “Yeah, I hear you there. I wouldn’t pick a club either since it’s not my thing, but it’s change of pace so I figured, why not.” This conversation was going surprisingly well, and it was going to suck when she had to leave.

Slowly the club got more and more crowded. What meant it, was probably already early evening, Ella thought. More and more people walked into the club and sat down on small tables or at the bar. Also the music in the background became louder. Some people even started to dance. Ella couldn't help but smile as she watched them. She loved dancing, but she did not like to dance around so many unknown people. In the past, she had been more open for such things. But since she had become quieter, she had lost that kind of fire inside herself, that made her in the past, get up and dance, no matter what everyone else was thinking. She was simply no longer used to be like that, because she spent most evenings at home. Sure she loved her home, where she could relax and do lots of things that she liked. But still a part of her missed, the girl who had not skipped one Party. Now she was never going to any Party, because her parents didn't allow it. What was really stupid in Ella's opinion. On the other hand, whenever she had tried to sneak out in the past, she had been caught by her parents later. But there was another reason, why she wanted to stay where she was, the girl she just met Leah. Ella thought talking to her was really interesting. She liked her already in a way. She seemed to be a truthful and nice, she was the kind of person who could be a real friend, in Ella's opinion. Leah seemed like someone who would even get herself into fights for her friends to her.
It was a big surprise to Ella that she had met Leah, who seemed to have so many things in common with her here. From all places where she would have expected to meet someone, who could be her friend it was a night club. She wasn't a person who was hanging out in night clubs anymore and from all Leah had told her, she could tell Leah normally didn't come to such clubs as well. Sometimes life was just funny, she thought. But also her surprising meeting with Leah, was like a ray of hope, that showed her that maybe it wasn't to late to be the funny, cheerful and outgoing girl again. Sure she didn't know much about Leah yet, but she probably was going to find out more while they were talking. Ella took her glass and sipped on her drink, then she put it down again. Watching the people around her again. Ella had always loved big crowds of people, she thought it was really interesting to watch them, cause everyone seemed to be so different from each other and at the same time so alike. Also she most of the time found something to laugh about. But a moment later she turned her attention back to Leah, after all she wanted to find out more about her and she was only going to do that once she talked to her.
That was when Leah responded to her with a smile on her face “Nice to meet you, too,” Ella returned the smile cheerfully and waited what Leah had to say. “Yeah, I get that. It’s only my mom now and she’s not very strict but I don’t get out much either,” Leah explained to her a moment later. Ella nodded thoughtfully and said then "I wish you could give some of your mothers calmness to my parents, cause they really drive me insane!" laughing lightly. A moment later Leah said “I came in here more to avoid going home a little longer. I’ll have to eventually though, since I have to work tonight.” Ella grimaced and said "Oh I see, working not the most funny thing to do!" "You said you came here, so where do you come from?" she asked interested. Ella couldn't remember to have ever seen Leah around Forks, but maybe she was still from around town. That was when she noticed that Leah could easily belong to the people of La Push, at least that was what Ella would have guessed from her look. She was torn out of her thoughts, when Leah told her “Yeah, I hear you there. I wouldn’t pick a club either since it’s not my thing, but it’s change of pace so I figured, why not.” Ella smiled and nodded in understandingly. Then she said grimacing "In the past I was a lot more fun and I did things like going to clubs more often, but when my parents suddenly thought they had to play the strictest parents in the world it was all over." and added a moment later "That was also the moments all my friends turned against me and left me alone with my problems." Then Ella couldn't help but laugh about herself and said "Sorry for complaining so much, I guess I'm not the only one with problems, so if you have anything you want to get off your mind let it out!" and then waited what Leah was going to say or going to do next. While she waited she took another sip of her drink. Now that she was getting into talking with Leah, Ella thought it had been a good idea to come here. Sure she would later get in trouble once she got home, but while she was here, Ella was going to enjoy it.

She wasn’t a people person and hated crowded places, so staying there was really not the most ideal thing for her right now. The only trouble was that she was actually enjoying talking to Ella who, as it turned out, actually had a lot in common with her. Neither of them got out much, and it made Leah feel better to know that she wasn’t the only person in Washington who had no life outside of ‘work’. Of course, in Ella’s case it sounded like she didn’t have much of a life by choice where Leah chose not to, but either way it was nice to have someone to relate to. She was pretty sure most of the people in the club would have got up and left after a few minutes of conversation with her, but Ella hadn’t done that which made her worth talking to in Leah’s book. It was times like this when she wished she was just a normal young woman who could have left La Push and gone to school for nursing the way she’d wanted too since there wasn’t much left for her there, but now that her wolf gene had kicked in she was rooted there and couldn’t pursue any of her dreams until she got control over the phasing and stopped. That was one of the big disadvantages to the entire thing, and made her despise it even more. Why did she have to be the only female shifter in history? And why couldn’t her stupid gene have waited until she had lived at least one dream? Ugh.
As the conversation continued, Leah pushed her annoyance aside so that she wouldn’t accidentally say something to Ella in a bitter tone the way she normally did when she talked to other people. The girl seemed interesting and friendly, which were good qualities for a potential new friend. It was funny how the one time the twenty year old had actually gone out of her way to try and put herself into a social situation, and she could have been coming out of it with a new friend. This got her thinking that maybe she should force herself out of the house a little more often. She figured that if she did, she’d gain back a few friends and maybe be able to have a life outside the stupid wolf thing that had more or less halted the life she’d been trying to build for herself. It was a risk every time they fought those stupid bloodsuckers, but the wolves were strong and with combined effort, they usually won. It was kind of thrilling to be able to take out her frustrations with life out on something, but that didn’t make her like the phasing thing much better. It had still caused her long-time boyfriend to break up with her, it had still caused her father’s death, and it had stopped her from leaving the town she so desperately wanted to leave. At least having a few friends again might help her enjoy being stuck there, since it wasn’t until after all of the break up aftermath that she’d decided to start her life over somewhere else. Now that she had met Ella she was determined to get to know the girl, which was enough to make her stay in her seat, casually sipping at her water.
She smiled at Ella’s joke. “I’ll bottle it up for you and give it to you next time I see you, if ever,” she responded, thinking the joke probably sounded pretty lame. She hadn’t been joking around much the last few months and was kind of out of practise. Whatever, though. She didn’t mind if Ella didn’t find her dumb joke funny. “It’s kind of parents’ jobs to drive their children insane though,” she said with a small laugh, trying to take the focus off the joke. At Ella’s next question, she took a sip of water before responding. “I’m from La Push. How about you?” It was only polite to ask her back. Leah sincerely hoped that she wouldn’t say Forks because even though she was free to go to Forks, if something were to happen then she wouldn’t be able to phase. “Strict parents are the worst, but they’re probably just trying to protect you,” she said with a wrinkle of her nose. When Ella mentioned friends turning on her, Leah discovered another thing they had in common. Well, sort of anyway. Leah’s friends hadn’t turned their backs on her, she had just pushed them away. “Yeah, I did stuff like this more often before my long-time boyfriend broke up with me and upset me so much that I pushed all of my friends away. Then my dad died, so I just kind of gave up on a lot of things,” she responded sadly. “But, I’m trying to get back the fun side and the old life I had before all of that happened,” she added after realizing mentioning that she pushed people away would make Ella think differently of her. “Hey, no worries. It’s nice to hear about other problems instead of worrying about my own. Don’t even get me started on mine, you’d be here all night,” she teased, finishing her drink and ordering another since she figured they’d be talking for at least a bit longer.

As more and more people walked into the club, Ella felt more and more uncomfortable. She had liked it more, when there had been less people. But this was a club after all, so it should have been clear to her that it got more crowded in the evening. For a moment she wondered how fast time had went by. But then she told herself, that time always passed faster when she had fun. One thing was sure, talking to Leah was definitely fun. Even though she had just met her, she already liked her. Leah was a open and friendly person, she thought. That was something that was really important to her. Ella didn't like liars and false friends. In the past she had made some bad experiences with that and so she was now rather careful who she trusted. But Leah really seemed truthful to her. Ella couldn't imagine that someone like Leah did not get out much. She would have expected that someone like her had a lot of friends and a lot of Party's and places where she could go. But on the other hand for sure Ella could understand her. It had been a surprise to her, that she and Leah seemed to have so much in common. But that made Leah even more likable to her. All her other friends had never been able to understand her, they just had pushed her away, without thinking about it. They simply had not cared what kind of problems she had. Sometimes it seemed like a miracle to Ella, that she hadn't gone crazy after all the things that had happened to her in the last time. But maybe she was simply one of this person, who could stay down on earth in bad situations, in which others would have gone crazy already, she thought to herself. Ella was also normally a quite optimistic and happy person. There were not much things, that could make her angry or unhappy. But once she was angry or unhappy, it was better to stay out of her way, cause she was not someone to yell and scream then. She was rather the kind of her person who became cold and who was reckoning with the other person then. She knew it was not one of her best personality traits, but on the other hand, who was perfect, she asked herself.
Now Ella was most of the time alone, she spent a lot of time at home with herself and her crazy family. Sure a part of her loved them, but there was also another part inside of her that told her she should get as far away from them as she could. Until now that had been her plan, once she was finished with school. After school, Ella wanted to go to an University and then find a nice place to live at and never come back to Forks. Sure it was her hometown and maybe a part of her would miss it. But Ella was pretty sure that the more overwhelming feeling would be relief that she was finally free. Ella had no plan what she would do once she was free, but she was sure it was going to be a lot more fun then her momentary life. A moment later Ella took another sip of her drink, looking around the bar again. There was no clock on the wall, but since the club was getting crowded, she thought it must be already late. With a strange satisfaction, she thought that probably her mum would go crazy right now at home. Ella had turned off her cell, so that no one could call her. After all she had wanted to be alone, when she had come here. A moment later Ella pushed all those thoughts aside and turned her attention back to Leah, who probably had some more interesting story's to tell. She watched Leah smile about her joke. Then Leah replied to her “I’ll bottle it up for you and give it to you next time I see you, if ever,” Ella could help but laugh lightly with Leah. Then she added jokingly "I can give you my address and you can sent it by mail." and winked at Leah. “It’s kind of parents’ jobs to drive their children insane though,” Leah replied a moment later. Ella nodded in agreement and said then "Yes, I think it really is, well but sometimes it's easy to ignore them and sometimes not..." shrugging. A moment later after she had taken a sip of her water, Leah said to her “Strict parents are the worst, but they’re probably just trying to protect you,” Ella rolled her eyes and answered "Yeah, I know, but still I wish they could be different, also it's not so easy to convince them you are a grown up person, when your sister is always doing stupid stuff..." she added sighing "And in the end it's almost always my fault that she acts stupid..." She explained a moment later at first seriously "They were different in the past, but then from one second to another they seemed like kidnapped by aliens and replaced!" but couldn't help and grin about the last thing.
“I’m from La Push. How about you?” Leah answered her question. So Ella's guess had been right, she noticed surprised. "I'm from Forks, not to far away from La Push, I think" "Seems like the bad weather there makes more people depressive then me." she said laughing. “Yeah, I did stuff like this more often before my long-time boyfriend broke up with me and upset me so much that I pushed all of my friends away. Then my dad died, so I just kind of gave up on a lot of things,” Leah said sadly. Ella suddenly felt really bad, all her worries seemed so small against all the things Leah had just said. So Ella replied a moment later seriously "I'm sorry to hear that from your dad, it must be really hard!" "I can't even fully imagine what it has to be like..." then she added "That ex-boyfriend of yours must have been really stupid, I mean you are such a nice person, who could be better then you?" "Really I know how hard such things can be, but you really shouldn't allow this guy to destroy your life, he is not worth it" "From what I can tell, so shortly after meeting you, you seem far to nice for him and you deserve something better." Ella said giving Leah a compassionate smile. “But, I’m trying to get back the fun side and the old life I had before all of that happened,” Leah explained to her a moment later. Ella answered her still smiling "Seems like a good idea, I join you really things should be back to fun." "Or at least I really could use some fun." A moment later Leah answered her question “Hey, no worries. It’s nice to hear about other problems instead of worrying about my own. Don’t even get me started on mine, you’d be here all night,” Leah teased her. "Well I have time, I t´don't have the desire to go back home into my shell." "So you can tell me everything, just let it out!" she answered grinning.
