I've been around a month since I've moved here, and everything has been the same. I wake up, eat, drive to school, talk to nobody, drive home, do homework, eat dinner, watch TV, and sleep. There is barely any variation whatsoever. This lack of place in La Push just continues to eat me away. If I tried, I'd likely be able to find more of a social identity than that guy who sort of is just here because his parents made him move and now he's anti-social, but I have no real motivation to make that change. I'm just waiting for something to pop up and give me a reason to.
When I first came to La Push, I wasn't really sure what to expect.I was sort of hoping for it to be more like home. Change isn't something I like without it being a bit reasonable. This.. this isn't reasonable. Nothing was explained to me when I was told I was going to leave just weeks after I turned only sixteen. It didn't feel right.
The ride here was long. The awkward silence between me and my uncle was just his paying of respect and his understanding of what I was going through, and for that much I thank him. He did put on a radio to make the uncomfortable lack of noise fizzle away, which was nice to say the least. His taste in music is actually pretty good.
"Sir? Sir?" Sean was in the middle of writing for an English assignment, and got really into it to the point he couldn't hear the waitress asking to take his order. He looked up and put his pen and notebook down before clearing his throat, slowly responding, "Oh... yes, yes, sorry. I guess I was too focused on this writing," he peered down at the menu to find what he wanted for lunch. In his mind, everything sounded good at the moment. He was starving. But he decided to just pick randomly so the waitress didn't have to wait any longer. "Can I have a barbecue burger with onion rings, please?" The waiter looked at him and nodded with a gentle smile on her face. "Of course; I'll take your menu for you if you'd like." Sean handed her the menu and thanked her, trying to put his attention to the assignment again.
Well, he couldn't actually. He noticed something quite peculiar. He was really warm. It was unusual, since it was rainy outside and it actually was one of the colder days of summer, especially with Sean's shorts and T-shirt paired with a pair of tennis shoes. It's not like he was preparing for winter or anything. It had been one of the few times this happened since he arrived at La Push, and what was worse was that was just another reason why people thought Sean was crazy, cause he always complained about air-conditioning needing to be turned on. Some people he had met once or twice met had asked him question about if he was still feeling warm, which was incredibly odd. He honestly couldn't determine whether or not they were just messing with him, but he just said he was fine at that moment, whether or not he actually was.
At this point, Sean had no clue about the supernatural. In his mind, vampires and werewolves were just stupid concepts that came from medieval-era crackheads who were just rejects of reason. The heat and the raising suspicion and questions in his mind had nothing to do what would soon become his reality, his everything. Right now, he was just Sean, waiting for his barbecue burger and his onion rings to be served to him at River's Edge. There was nothing out of the ordinary about it. As he sipped his Sprite, his head slightly tilted and his eyes moved towards the bell placed on top of the entrance as someone stepped in. He didn't recognize the person, thus it was nothing to even care about to the smallest degree, which left him to turn back to the surface of the table to review what he had wrote for English so far.

And I feel just like I’m living someone else’s life It’s like I just stepped outside - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Leah Clearwater was not really a people person anymore, which was why she preferred to sit at home by herself instead of going out and partying like most people her age. However, most people her age hadn’t gone through as many years of pain, loss and heartache as she had and if they had, it hadn’t been pretty much back to back. First, she had lost her first boyfriend and love to her cousin thanks to imprinting, then she had lost her father to a fatal heart attack. Thanks to those events, the only time that Leah really ever left her house was when she had to patrol with the pack, was visiting her cousin, or going out to dinner with her mother and Seth. Tonight, however, Sue had ordered food from River’s Edge because she didn’t feel like cooking and had recruited Leah to go and pick it up. This fact kind of displeased the twenty year old, but she refrained from complaining to make life easier for her mother. Sue was still having trouble accepting that Harry was gone sometimes, and Leah didn’t want to put any more strain and stress on her mother by complaining. Plus, it wasn’t like she was going to have to sit there and wait since her mother had already ordered it. Those two facts kept her from complaining, and she grabbed the car keys before heading out the door.
As Leah drove towards the River’s Edge restaurant, she thought about the patrol she was going on tonight and hoped that maybe they would catch a vampire that needed to be taken care of. The twenty year old had been feeling pretty angsty lately because of the lack of action on patrol, and couldn’t wait to find something to take out her frustrations on. Of course, that would be easier said than done since there hadn’t been much going on since the battle with the newborns the month before, but she could still hope. It was like vampires were afraid of coming to Washington because of the large Quileute and Cullen victory, but she knew that they wouldn’t stay away forever and was glad for that. Now, all she had to do was wait for them to start flooding in again. She hoped that wouldn’t take too long, but those damn bloodsuckers were pretty unpredictable sometimes so she really had no idea how long it was truly going to be. Either way, once she found one, she would be glad to take out her anger, annoyance and frustration out on it while she ripped it to shreds. It was kind of a gruesome thought, but that was really the wolf side of her talking there since Leah herself wasn’t that violent.
When she got to the restaurant, the beauty parked the car and turned off the engine. Once she had grabbed the keys and her purse, Leah locked the car and headed across the small parking lot to the front door. When she walked inside, the little bell above the door jingled and alerted the hostess to her arrival as she made her way to the counter. She frowned a little when she was told that her order wasn’t quite ready yet, and turned to sit down on a bench in the waiting area with a sigh. At least she didn’t really have to talk to anyone and the wait wouldn’t be long, or so she hoped. While she waited, her deep blue eyes scanned the large room and stopped when they came across a young man sitting at a table, scribbling madly across a piece of paper. His scent seemed familiar, but it wasn’t because he was a vampire; in fact, it seemed like he was a shape shifter too. This realization confused Leah since she was pretty sure that all the shifters in La Push were already part of the pack, but then she realized that he was probably new to town and hadn’t made his first phase yet. This new information sank in and she made a mental note to share it with Sam when she saw him later, then they could go from there. She debated walking over to the young man but decided against it and settled for subtly keeping her eyes trained on him, but not so much that it was obvious. She could feel her curiosity building up, but the best thing to do for now was just observe him while she waited for her food and that was what she was going to do.
