» STRENGTHS: One of Leah’s biggest strengths is her loyalty. Her friends and family mean the world to her, and she would never intentionally do something to hurt them. She will also do anything and everything she can to protect them and keep them from harm. She is also extremely loyal to her pack, even though she can’t stand being part of it most of the time. Her loyalty also shows through when it comes to her beliefs and values, and staying true to herself. Her philosophy is that if someone cannot accept her for who she is, then that person was not meant to be in her life anyway. She refuses to change herself to please others, and if they don't like it then it’s just too bad. Being the only female in a pack full of males and living through the experiences that she has had helped her learn how to sort out the people who belong in her life, and the people who don’t.
Patience is another virtue that Leah holds, staying faithful to those she loves. She never allows herself to become frustrated or stressed out, and will never lose her temper over something minor. Determination and motivation also contribute to that patience, as displayed by Leah’s refusal to give up on anything that she truly wants, even after many failures.
Leah is also very strong-willed. Being able to put up with the pain and heart ache that she’s experienced for the last few years of her life has made her a much stronger person inside. She has the ability to move on with her life even after living through traumatic and damaging experiences and can stay strong in front of others, something that takes a lot of inner emotional strength and is not easy for most people. It is this trait that people like Jacob admire most about her.
» WEAKNESSES: Despite her many strengths, Leah’s biggest weakness is her heart. Though she does not wear it on her sleeve, exposed to the outside world, it does cause her a lot of pain. She allows herself to fall fast and hard, and it usually ends up leaving her broken hearted in the end. That also comes from how trusting she is of people. It makes her a very vulnerable individual, and though she has gotten better at controlling these two traits, they are still a problem sometimes.
Despite her kind nature, Leah can also express a slight temper when she is in a situation that she either does not like, or if she is annoyed or irritated. In those kinds of situations, she tends to lash out and snap at anyone that is unfortunate enough to cross her path. She also has a tendency to be brutally honest when dealing with people she likes and dislikes. If she dislikes someone or something, she won’t hesitate to express her dislike, and that can sometimes get her into trouble because she does not think about the feelings that may be on the line. It is for this reason that Leah sometimes comes off as such a bitter and cynical young woman. This also brings an inability to listen to both sides of an argument into the picture.
Because of the things that have happened in Leah’s life, she has also become a very closed off person and does not allow herself to get close to anyone for fear that she will lose them like she did Sam and her father. This trait often becomes a great source of trouble for Leah herself, and for the people that matter most in her life. Likewise, she is unable to find it within herself to forgive someone easily once she feels that she has been personally hurt. Her strengths are often hindered by her lingering resentment towards people who have hurt her, or people that she cares about, and the desire to get even sometimes overwhelm her otherwise rational thoughts.
» SECRETS: Leah has always had a thing for Jacob Black, though she'd never admit it to anyone, especially him. She's also quite jealous of Bella Swan, and hates her for how much she's hurt Jacob. She also still blames herself for her father's death, and nobody can say anything to change that belief. She also has the obvious secret that she shifts into a giant wolf and runs around killing vampires and protecting La Push.
» GOALS:
- Get out of La Push
- Fall in love again
- Life a full, happy and successful life
» OVERALL PERSONALITY: Leah Clearwater is a forceful and independent young lady, who is both energetic and lively. Anyone who has known her for a long period of time can see that she is very spirited. From an early age, she proved that just because fate may deal her a crappy hand, did not mean that she was going to cry her heart out and hold back when it came to overcoming the obstacles life put in her path. Under the guidance of her parents and their relentless over-protection, encouragement, and advice, she has grown into a fiercely loyal, passionate, and unrelenting young woman.
Leah’s life is guided solely on her gut instinct, beliefs, and love of her family and friends. She is willing and enthusiastic to jump into a battle at a moment's notice, or to drop whatever she is doing to ensure that someone she loves has a shoulder to cry on or has someone to talk too. While her first instincts often come off as powerful, rash, and maybe a bit too strong, she has the ability to reign in her anger and frustration and focus on the needs of another when the need arises. When the people in her life have a problem, she always listens whole heartedly, then proceeds to give out rather impressive and knowledge advice for someone her age. She is caring and compassionate by nature, just as she is a strong force in all other areas of life. Only after she broke up with Sam Uley did that part of her change, though she is trying to fix it.
Many people find Leah a bit abrasive and cold, and truthfully she is. She has no patience or desire to list off the details of her life, or to put up with people or situations that she has already decided she dislikes. Standing on neutral ground is a hard concept for her to grasp, along with any sort of idea that is ultimately different from her own. In her mind, her side is the only side and she will rarely bother to listen to those who feel differently; her will to stand up to anyone and everyone, whether friend or enemy, also comes from this. Once she is angered it takes her a rather long time to either apologize or speak to the person in question in order to resolve the issues she has with him/her. She is one of those people who takes everything to heart, and finds it hard to trust people again once they have hurt her or broken her trust.
Over the years, Leah has also become much more motivated and determined for success. She strives to prove to the males of the pack that she is perfectly capable of doing anything that they can do, and has become very confident and sure of herself. She finds it hard to trust people, and there are very few people she actually likes. She is, however, friendly to those she does like, and rude to those she doesn’t. She is stubborn and independent, and prefers to do things on her own. She doesn’t care what others think about her. She lives her life with the firm belief that anything that has happened to her in the past has just made her a stronger person.

» HISTORY: Leah Grace Clearwater was born on February 14th, 1986 as the first child of Harry and Sue Clearwater. Her birth marked the first day that a female was born carrying the gene of the werewolf, though nobody knew it at the time. Growing up on the small Quileute reservation in La Push, Washington meant that Leah knew everyone by face and name, and heard all of the legends of the tribe countless times. There was nothing she loved more in those first three years of her life than going shopping or visiting friends on the reservation with her mother, and going to the beach with her father, playing in the waves and building sandcastles. Then, at the age of four, her mother surprised her with the news that she was going to be a big sister. The news was accepted with excited, open arms, and nine months later, Leah had gained a new baby brother named Seth.
Leah took her new role as a big sister very seriously. Growing up as the oldest child in the family made her develop a very protective, maternal attitude towards Seth, even at the young age she was when he was born. She loved sitting at her mother’s feet, watching as she rocked the tiny baby in her arms. Sometimes, she would even help change him, help get him dressed, and help feed him. At night, she would sometimes sneak into her brother’s room, just to make sure that he was safe and sound, and sing him lullabies when he couldn’t sleep at night.
She always did things to try and keep Seth from crying, and would somehow always know exactly what he wanted when their parents couldn’t figure it out. This made the two very close, and though their relationship changed a bit as they entered their teen years, Leah never lost the protectiveness and responsibility she felt for him.
Boys were never a big interest of Leah’s until she met Sam Uley during her freshman year of high school. The two connected immediately, and began dating a few weeks later, continuing all through Leah’s high school years. The entire tribe saw them as the perfect couple, the future of the tribe, and the two had even started discussing marriage. That was, until Sam’s werewolf gene kicked in and he phased for the first time, disappearing for a few weeks with no sort of explanation. In his absence, Leah’s thoughts were consumed by frantic worry and the hope that he was alright. When he returned, he did not explain his absence to her at all, and people in town began to suspect that the young man had gotten into drugs, alcohol, or something else along those lines. Immediately after, Sam’s reputation on the reservation changed. Throughout this entire ordeal, however, Leah stuck by him even though she knew there was something he was hiding from her.
One day, Leah’s cousin Emily Young came down to La Push for a visit, and Leah introduced her to Sam. Being a werewolf, Sam imprinted on Emily and was forced to break up with Leah, leaving her completely broken and empty. Nobody knew what had happened, including Leah, and she instantly put the blame on both her cousin, who, until that point, had been like a sister to her, and on Sam. Ever since that day, Leah has never been the same. Every time she looked at Sam, she always felt that pang of pain and he always looked at her with guilty and apologetic eyes. Though she eventually understood what happened, it still hurt to think about it all, though she did her best to stay strong.
It was during her weakest point after the break up that Jacob Black stepped forward and kept her out of the deep, dark hole that she so desperately wanted to climb into. The two had been growing closer over the years, and it was Jacob found her on the beach and took her back to his house so she could avoid her own family for the time being. After comforting her further, the feelings the two had always harbored for each other but had never expressed shone through, and things got heated up between them. After that night, the two promised to never speak of what had happened between them, or of the feelings they had for each other. For years, Leah harbored the feelings for Jacob, ones that she never lost, and just when it seemed things would work out for the two of them, Bella Swan moved to Forks, stealing Jacob’s heart and leaving Leah standing on the sidelines, forced to watch as the boy she loved fought for the human girl’s heart and continuously got himself hurt in the process.
A few months later, many of the other young men on the reservation began to go through the changes that Sam had gone through, and those who did not know (or believe) in the story of the Quileute tribe were under the impression that the boys had become a teenage gang, Leah among them. She had heard the stories of the tribe, but had always thought that they were just that, stories, made up to make the children fall asleep at night. She didn’t believe in any of them until the day she herself changed. When her body first started reaching temperatures that should have killed her, Leah’s first thought was that she had caught some strange illness. It was only after Sam explained to her what was going on that she finally understood everything and realized that her life would never be the same again.
Shortly after her first phase Leah’s father, Harry, suffered from a fatal heart attack, making that the second loved one that the young woman had lost in a matter of months. From then on, Leah Clearwater became a very quiet, closed off young woman who did not allow herself to get close to anyone. Now, she spends her days tending to pack duties with the other Quileute wolves and reflecting on the past, wondering when life will give her a break from all the pain and heartache.
*and in the taste confounds the appetite,[/b] she responded, waiting for Jacob to turn around so she could shut the door and get back to her book.

» RP SAMPLE:
This was day number two that Leah had been given a break from patrolling and she couldn’t deny that she wished that she’d never have to do it again. It was nice to be able to just stay home and relax, and not have to shred anymore clothing just to patrol around a perimeter that had not seen any action in what seemed like forever. Admittedly the lack of action was disappointing to Leah, who only enjoyed the wolf thing for sole reason of being able to take out her anger on some bloodsuckers. She wouldn’t have minded taking it out on the Cullens either, but since there was a treaty in place that had not been broken yet, she was forbidden too. But just thinking about them, especially Edward, made her blood boil. He was the reason that Jacob could not have the girl he loved, and was the reason why Leah and the pack had to hear Jacob pining for her every time they phased. It was annoying, but then again she wasn’t one to talk since she knew her own thoughts weren’t exactly pleasant either. But still, she wished there was something she could too to help Jacob, even it meant going near them. She knew what he was going through since she’d gone through it herself, and sometimes still felt the pain of it deep inside when she was alone and didn’t have to worry about anyone over-hearing her thoughts. That was why she preferred her human form to her wolf form and liked staying home by herself whenever she could, because then she got privacy and freedom and wasn’t afraid to be judged.
On that particular morning, Leah had woken early to the smell of her mother making pancakes in the kitchen. After dragging herself out of bed, she was planning to get down there and eat before Seth beat her too it and there was nothing left, then remembered that he had been recruited for extra patrolling and wouldn’t be around. So, instead of rushing out of her room, the twenty year old lounged in her bed and waited for her mother to call up to inform her that the food was ready. After that, she hoisted herself out of her bed, walked downstairs and sat down with her mother to enjoy the pancakes. It wasn’t very often that Leah was home in the morning to be able to spend time with her mother, and she always felt horribly guilty about it. Thankfully, she was able to sort of make up for it that morning which seemed to please her mother. It was always so hard leaving Sue alone at home to go out on patrol since Leah knew how much the older woman worried that she would lose Leah or Seth in a battle, but Leah assured her every time that they would be fine…and they always were. She was grateful that Sam took her mother’s depression into consideration whenever he was sending them out on duty because he made it so that either Seth or Leah was always home with her unless they were both absolutely needed. Most of the time it was her, though, since she knew how uncomfortable they both were when they were in each other’s presence and that was fine with her. Seth was one of those people who needed to always be doing something, and wouldn’t be able to sit there and provide good company for their mother, so it was better that he was usually out. Plus, it helped keep his mind off of their father.
After breakfast, her mother decided that a trip to the mall in Port Angeles was necessary and asked Leah if she wanted to go too. Normally, she would have been completely up for it, but since she hadn’t slept very well that night and was feeling lazy, she turned down the invitation so she could enjoy the peace and quiet of the empty house and relax for a bit. After waving goodbye to her, Sue made her way out the door and Leah sank down into the couch and pulled her book out of the end table drawer. She was looking forward to having a nice, quiet afternoon to herself and was planning to catch up on her book now that she had some time to do so. But, after a few pages, the doorbell rang. Sighing, she dropped the book on the couch, hoisted herself to her feet and went to the door, wrenching it open and not sure who to expect but hoping it wasn't someone who would mind her pink and white pajama pants and white tank top. Her blue eyes met the chocolate eyes of Jacob Black, who was apparently there to see if Seth had left already or not. Wondering how he’d missed the news that Seth had been called out early but not bothering to point this out to him, she shook her head. “Nah, he’s gone already. You know him, it’s impossible for him to sit still for a long period of time. He didn’t leave too long ago, though, so you should be able to catch him,”
